Hemorrhaging Money
We had a productive (and expensive) weekend. Kitchen appliances and kitchen backsplash tile are ordered. We also picked up the closet doors from Frank Lumber. They were way more expensive than I expected! The good news is we’re almost done hemorrhaging money. I think this is all we have left:
- Carpet and subfloor for basement. Doesn’t have to be too expensive; just comfy.
- Landscaping. We’ll have to do something about our lovely dirt yard shortly after we move in or else the cats and kids will drag it all inside with them.
- Random rugs for house. No more carpet (except for the basement) so we’ll need more rugs for sure.
Also this weekend? Jon showed off his concrete countertop prototype. It is hilarious to watch every guy he shows it to “oohh” and “aahhh” over it. I guess that is a good thing though because it means Jon did a good job and our countertops won’t look like a concrete sidewalk.
